Kiddie Winks

Pediatric Sleep Consulting

Hello and welcome to Kiddie Winks, a place where you and your baby can feel like you are in safe hands.

My sleep training methods and plans are effective because I will work directly with you to understand your beliefs, your comfort levels and your family's sleep goals with absolutely no pressure to do something you are uneasy with or unsure about, because ultimately you know your child best, and I am here to listen to you, guide you and respect your sleep wishes.

I often get asked about tears when sleep coaching and whether or not your baby will be left alone to cry until they fall asleep.  The answer is no.  Although there can be a time and place for "Crying It Out" I offer a much gentler approach and will never ask you to leave your child alone until they fall asleep from utter exhaustion, nor will I ask you to ignore their cries.

My methods are by no means a "cry it out" approach.

Crying, though, can be common in any  process and shouldn't always be viewed negatively.  Crying is your child's way of protesting change and you can expect that making these changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest in one way or another.  I can teach you how to cope with the tears.

If any of this sounds familiar it might be time to invest in rest!

your toddler or preschooler comes out of bed all night long or needs someone beside them before they can fall asleep or stay asleep

you've spent countless hours reading books and searching for solutions online and you're feeling overwhelmed with all of the different information out there.

You find yourself constantly rocking or bouncing your baby to sleep, or taking them for a car or stroller ride, only to have them wake up the second you try to place them in their crib.

You've developed a strong nurse or bottle to sleep association, or a pacifier dependency and are waking up throughout the night to either replace the pacifier or nurse your baby back to sleep.

Naps are difficult, very short or even non-existent and its beginning to take a toll on everyone in your family, especially your little one.
